Reverse Engineering Training

Reverse engineering, is the process of where a man-made object is deconstructed to reveal its designs, architecture, or to extract knowledge from the object. Reverse engineering is applicable in the fields of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, software engineering, chemical engineering etc.

However, the reverse engineering process in itself is not concerned with creating a copy, it is only an analysis in order to deduce design features from products with little or no additional knowledge about the procedures involved in their original production.

Reverse Engineering technique has been adopted by all Industries. In today's time, any product has its predecessor. Until and unless the details of the existing product is available, new product cannot be designed with additional features, which can be accepted in the market. Hence 'Reverse Engineering' has become a 'must do' for all Industries.

Details of the Training

  • 3D Model is generated using blue light/ white lights/ lasers scanning. The point cloud generated is stitched as a surface and solid model is generated – wherever required.
  • Based on the 3D models, 2D Drawing are generated with dimensioned tolerance and material thus manufacturing drawing are generated.

Duration:- 2 months

  • Knowledge of Point cloud and Surface modeling (UG NX or SOLID EDGE)
  • Basic Sketching commands
  • Part Modeling (Solid & Surface)

  • Controlling of accuracy while modeling

  • Basics of Tool design
  • Understanding of different formats (IGES, STEP, Parasolid etc.)
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing drawing creation
